Distilleria Mezzanotte

Distilleria Mezzanotte is a young, artisanal distillery based in Pesaro, on Italy’s Adriatic coast.

Founded in 2021 by Master Distiller Alex Bartolucci and Art Director Giacomo Bracci, the distillery takes its name from the Italian word for “midnight” – a symbolic moment of transition and inspiration. The idea was born during the 2020 pandemic and quickly grew into a reality, with production beginning in 2022.

At the heart of the distillery is a 230-litre Müller Aromat still, nicknamed Percival, which combines pot, column, and botanical basket in a versatile setup.

This allows the team to work in small batches with a balance of tradition and innovation, producing spirits that reflect creativity, storytelling, and design as much as flavour. Sustainability also plays a role, with renewable energy and careful sourcing of botanicals.

Mezzanotte’s flagship products are Gin Mezzanotte and Gin Atlantide. The former features juniper, sweet orange, kaffir lime, cocoa beans, coriander, and cinnamon, creating a rounded profile of citrus and spice.

Gin Atlantide takes inspiration from the sea, with marine botanicals such as seaweed and lichens, balanced with pink grapefruit.

The distillery has quickly earned international recognition, including “New Distillery of the Year 2023” and awards for both gins across Europe.
