Roku Gin
From: Roku
Roku Gin is crafted by Japanese artisans with meticulous attention to detail and embodies the harmony of tradition and innovation.
The name “Roku” translates to “six” in Japanese, highlighting the six unique Japanese botanicals that define its character: sakura flower, sakura leaf, yuzu peel, sencha tea, gyokuro tea, and sansho pepper.
These ingredients are meticulously harvested at their peak, adhering to the Japanese concept of “shun,” which celebrates seasonal perfection.
These are artfully combined with eight traditional gin ingredients, including juniper berries, coriander, and citrus peels, resulting in a complex and balanced flavour profile. The production process involves distilling each botanical separately to preserve its individual essence, utilising various pot stills to achieve the desired characteristics.
Beyond its contents, Roku Gin’s presentation reflects Japanese artistry. The hexagonal bottle symbolises the six Japanese botanicals, with each facet embossed with a botanical motif. The label is crafted from traditional washi paper, adding an authentic touch.
